Our Chapter's History

Established in 1973, the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN-GCC) is one of 240 chapters of the world's largest specialty nursing organization. The AACN-GCC's mission is to support the national organization's vision of "creating a healthcare system driven by the needs of patients and families where critical care nurses make their optimal contribution". The Greater Cincinnati Chapter supports the National vision by offering quality educational programs that advance professional growth, clinical practice and quality patient care. AACN-GCC also supports the National vision by promoting research and best practice and by fostering relationships with the community.
Currently, our chapter has 200 members.

We celebrated our 35th Anniversary as a Chapter in 2008!
